1. Introduction

PDFbae.com ("PDFbae", "we", "us", or "our") provides online tools for combining, converting, reading and otherwise processing PDF and image files. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, when you use our website located at pdfbae.com (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Files you process on our servers — the PDFs, images, or other documents you upload, open from a link, or choose from your PDFbae storage, and the results we produce from them (see Section 3).
Account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture link from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
Usage-limit records — to apply the daily and hourly allowances of each plan, we record which tool you used, how many files, their total size and page count, and whether the job succeeded. These records never contain file names or file contents. If you are not signed in, they are linked to a random identifier kept in a cookie and to a one-way, non-reversible fingerprint (hash) of your IP address; we do not store your raw IP address for this purpose.
Flipbook share links — if you create a share link, the PDF, an image of its first page, its title, page count, size and a count of views (see Section 4).
Usage data — pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Technical data — IP address, cookies, and similar identifiers collected automatically as part of operating the Service (see Section 7).
Communications — information you provide if you contact us directly, such as via email.
Problem reports — if you use "Report a problem", the category, tool, link and description you enter, the browser you used (its user-agent string), and the account it came from, so we can investigate and reply.

You do not need an account to use our tools. An account (Google sign-in) is optional and is needed only for account features such as share links, PDFbae storage and Premium.

3. Your Files: Browser Processing, Server Processing and Retention

Browser mode. Many tools, including the PDF to Flipbook reader, work entirely inside your browser. In browser mode your file is never uploaded to us; it stays on your device.
Server mode. When you choose server processing, or a task needs it, your file is uploaded to our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2, stored in the European Union) and processed by our servers solely to perform the action you requested and make the result available for download.
Files from a link. If you add a file from a web address, our server downloads it from that address on your behalf and stores it in the same way.
How long files are kept. Uploaded files and results are scheduled for automatic deletion within approximately 24 hours. You can delete them sooner from the result page or from your account history. We do not guarantee deletion at an exact time.
PDFbae storage for Premium accounts. If you have Premium, the results of your server jobs (not your original uploads, which are still deleted after about 24 hours) are kept in your PDFbae storage, up to 5 GB per account including your flipbook share links, for as long as your Premium is active. When Premium ends, these files are kept for 3 more days and then deleted automatically. You can delete any of them at any time from Account → PDFbae storage.
Re-using your files. "Select from PDFbae storage" lists only files that belong to your own account: your results from the last 24 hours and, with Premium, your kept files.
File processing is automated. We do not routinely access, view, or review the content of your files. We may access file content only where necessary to investigate suspected abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, or comply with a legal obligation.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload and process any file you submit to the Service.

4. Flipbook Share Links

When you create a share link for a flipbook, the PDF is uploaded to our storage so that anyone who has the link can read it and, unless you turn this off, download it. Do not share links to documents that must stay private.
Share links work for 24 hours, or for Premium accounts for as long as Premium is active (plus 3 days after it ends). You can turn a link off or delete it at any time from Account → Shared files.
To show you how many people opened your link, we count views. To count each reader only once, we briefly keep (for up to 6 hours) a one-way hash of the reader's IP address; we do not store readers' raw IP addresses or identities for this purpose.

5. Google Drive

If you choose "Google Drive" when selecting files, or "Save to Google Drive" on a result page, you are asked by Google to let PDFbae.com access your Google Drive with the permission drive.file. This permission covers only the files you pick in the Google file picker and the files PDFbae.com saves for you; it does not give us access to the rest of your Drive.

What we access: the files you select (their content, name and type) and, when you save a result, a folder named "PDFBae.com" that we create in your Drive to keep your saved files together.
How: all Drive access happens in your browser. The access token Google gives us stays in your browser's memory for that page (about an hour) and is never sent to or stored on our servers. A picked file is then handled exactly like a file chosen from your device (see Section 3): in browser mode it never leaves your device; in server mode it is uploaded to us like any other upload.
What we never do: we do not read, edit or delete any other file in your Drive, and we never delete files from your Drive.
Limited Use: PDFbae.com's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the features you request; we do not use it for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to develop or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.
Revoking access: you can remove PDFbae.com's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
Process the files you submit and deliver the requested output.
Run your account, PDFbae storage, share links and Premium.
Apply fair-use limits to server processing and prevent abuse.
Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Service.
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
Comply with legal obligations.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in and to apply usage limits), remember your preferences (such as language and reader settings), and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some functionality of the Service.

8. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and general geographic location, using cookies and similar technologies. This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Service Providers

Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, security, and file storage (Cloudflare R2, European Union storage region). Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses as part of providing these services (Cloudflare's Privacy Policy).
Hosting providers — our servers that run the website and process files are operated by cloud hosting providers on our behalf.
Google — sign-in, Google Drive (only when you use it, see Section 5), and Google Analytics.
Razorpay and Mailgun — payments and billing emails (see Section 10).

10. Premium Purchases and Payments

To buy PDFbae Premium you sign in with your Google account. We use your name and email address to run your account, deliver Premium, and send receipts and other billing emails.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay's secure checkout, not on PDFbae, and we never receive or store full card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or bank login details. Razorpay processes your payment information under its own Privacy Policy.
For each purchase we keep: the plan, amount, currency, date, payment status, Razorpay's order, payment and refund identifiers, the type of payment method (for example "card" or "upi"), the fee Razorpay reports for the payment, and error codes when a payment fails. We use these to provide Premium, show your billing history, handle refunds and support requests, and keep accounting records.
Billing emails are sent through our email provider, Mailgun, which processes your email address and the message content to deliver them (Mailgun's Privacy Policy).

11. Data Retention

Uploaded and processed files are scheduled for automatic deletion within approximately 24 hours, as described in Section 3.
Premium PDFbae storage (results only) is kept while Premium is active and deleted 3 days after it ends, or earlier when you delete it.
Flipbook share links are kept as described in Section 4.
Usage-limit records (Section 2) are deleted after 90 days.
Account information is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and its data, contact us (Section 18).
Usage and analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention periods of our analytics provider (see Section 8), and may be retained by us in aggregated or anonymized form for longer periods.
Communications and problem reports you send us are retained as long as reasonably necessary to address them and for our internal records.
Billing records (see Section 10) are kept for as long as needed to provide Premium, handle refunds and meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations.

12. Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Files on our storage are reachable only through long, random, unguessable addresses. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Data Transfers

Your information, including uploaded files, may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, we take steps intended to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

14. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Others)

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, which may include the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information.
Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable (California residents under the CCPA/CPRA).
Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 18. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

16. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by PDFbae. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
